Sara is a creative and tenacious communications professional with extensive experience in media relations, account management, event planning and marketing communications. She has a superb ability developing communications plans with the determination to see them through while still being nimble enough to adjust on the fly. She analyzes needs quickly, develops effective approaches and meet goals. She is passionate about bringing voice to the voiceless.
For nearly five years, She led internal and external public relations at Gage, a marketing technology agency. which joined operations with LaBreche in 2013. She was a founding member of the media relations team at Carmichael Lynch Spong where she worked for 12 years supporting and eventually leading national media relations campaigns. She has worked on award-winning campaigns for the American Humane Association, Fair Trade USA, Petco Foundation, Retrieving Freedom and the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife refuge, and served as the public relations adviser to retired Minnesota Supreme Court Justice and Minnesota Viking Hall of Famer Alan Page and the Page Education Foundation during its 30th anniversary and the renaming of Alexander Ramsey Middle School. She serves on the board of directors of Avenues for Homeless Youth as chair of the advancement committee.
She began her career working as a news reporter and photojournalist at various newspapers throughout the state of Minnesota. Her assignments included city reporter for the International Falls Daily Journal and news editor for Eagan Thisweek/Dakota County Tribune.
She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where she earned a degree in journalism.
